The debute release from Cyclene's newest electronic duo Dingo. The group uses samples of sound from various sources including field recordings of natural sound, previously recorded material, acoustic and 'circuit bent' instruments. These raw sounds are then processed digitally with laptop and output to a mixer. From there the sound is resampled into a Roland sampler and reprocessed for output. This process creates an ever changing soundscape of different textures and tonality.

Francis E. Dec, Esq. has madehis mark in cult status. These voice recordings of his rants were not done by Dec, but by L.A. newscaster/talk show host "Doc on the ROQ" of KROQ-FM. They have been in obscure circulation on cassette for several years. We are merly helping spread the joy that comes from this obscure loony.

Gentle. Deep. Freeing. The masterful qualities shed the old growth of their evocative skins like flowers of frequency. Dropping pedals to nurture the tender foreground of an ever-awakening hopeful landscape. Post digital sputtering ala the late 90’s glitch movement, mixed with an ambient attitude, interwoven into a tapestry of cosmic ease and passive conventional comfort. Cordell Klier shines as usual with this breezy spring-inspired document. “Going Forth By Day” is a light hearted...

working ⢠adjusting ⢠calming This has been a year of thinking a lot of about the future while trying not to get consumed by those thoughts. I have concerned myself with the unseen world around us like radio waves, the wind, and events that are happening in other places. It is more or less trying to realize the world beyond our own bodies. As always, all of these recordings were recorded in one take with no post production editing.

searching travel record This album was recorded during a very distinct period in my life. Fresh out of college and getting the first taste of the fulltime, work so you can survive world. I found myself very disenchanted. After years of having a plan of where to go next, I found myself with nothing. Then I took a job traveling to small towns in the United States and interacting within their communities. It opened up my world and gave me the jolt and knowledge I needed. This album is comprised of...

Ambit's first release on Cyclene offers us minimalist beats with mellowed jagged and aggressive wave forms. The following tracks were created with various circuit bent devices, a sid station, and a machinedrum. Exclusive to the Cyclene label, these tracks are more experimental than Ambit's usual compositions which tend to be geared towards the dance floor. More to come in the future. Feedback is welcome. Enjoy.

Body Bits is an improvisational collaboration between Brian Schorn (analog synthesis, signal processing, tapes, voice) and Jen Baker (trombone, didgeridoo, voice). The title and conceptual framework for the piece originated from a novelty package of rubbery human parts labeled "Body Bits." We decided to apply the same raw, organic and malleable quality to our improvisation. "Body Bits I" is wide-rangingsonic exploration incorporating the human body from head to toe....

The Snowgirl has two parts. The first part is a bass-heavy, slightly fluctuating drone punctuated by strange synthesizer noises and samples. The second part is more on the noise side, with filtered guitar sounds and more samples. The whole constitutes a kind of portrait of this "Snowgirl," influenced by Dada and Futurist art, as well as Marcia Bassett (from Double Leopards and Zaпmph). Artist Bio: Anastasia Vronski is a musician from Russia. She plays many instruments and uses them...

In August of 2009, our family traveled to Beijing, Zhengzhou, Guangzhou, and Hong Kong while on our second adoption journey. I made field recordings along the way. During the fall, I edited, layered, mixed and processed portions of the recordings for these 9 compositions. I added a guitar part to each one as a kind of commentary and reflection. The titles come from quirky English phrases I saw displayed on T-shirts worn by Chinese kids across the country.

EVENING IN PARIS The title refers not to a place and time, but the perfume, which was popular from the 1930s through the 50s. All of the tracks have names taken from famous scents of the past. Guitar loops, Mellotron, mood music, and field recordings were used to create textures that are airy and sparse, or scratchy and dense, but usually with some embedded melodic element, all intended to convey an atmosphere of decrepit nostalgia and corroded beauty. Field recordings used under Creative...

The dynamic duo have done it again. This 9 track release marks the end of a long hiatus and most likely the beginning of another for the improv soundscape artisans. Pulling from their standard bag of techniques and throwing in some new home made electronic noise makers/effects Dingo has again created a dark, intense trip down the intestines of the human psyche.
